The Shanghai-Ningpo Railway Contract.
London, March 16. The British Government have authorised Sir John N. Jordan, British Minister to Pekin, to make representations to China in regard to the non-observation of the ShanghaiNingpo railway contract. China is taking active steps to meet Britain’s wishes in' preventing obstruction of British section of the Tientsin-Yangtse railway construction works.
