Ottawa, March 11. Silt Frederick Borden, Canadian Minister for Defence, states the ruilitia numbers 47,500. The Dominion defence scheme for 1910 would, he declares, cost £1,222,000, and the first line of defence would consist of 100,000 men, and the second liue 200,000.
