Melbourne, March 5. The Minister of Defence, speaking at a banquet said there were many matters whereon an agreement is required by Australia upon the common method of working with other nations. Considerable energy has been displayed in preventing an iurush of Chinese, but altogether depreciated any Chinese feeling which work nothing but injury to ourselves. The Government is determined that the j Immigration Luarantine Law must not be set to nought. j
