Terrible Alpine Tragedy.
OFFICERS AND MEN BURIED Vienna, March 2. A terrible Alpine tragedy is reported from Breuner, in the Austrian Alps. A detachment |of six officers and 25 men of the Austrian Army, while on duty near Breuner, were suddenly overwhelmed by a huge avalanche, which suddenly came down the mountain side, all were buried beneath the snow, rocks, and debris. Troops have been sent to endeavour to extricate the buried men.
