Railway Concessions.
A REQUEST REFUSED.
Wellington, February 18. Recently a deputation of residents living along the Manawafcu railway line waited on the Minister for Railways. with a request for an improved service and concessions in fares. MiMiller has now replied, refusing the request, pointing out that it would not pay the Government to accede to the wishes of the deputation.
