A DARK SUSPICION

Sydney, February 10. Mr W. E. Johnson, a- member of the Houso of Representatives speaking to a Loyal Orange gathering said they would have>.o carefully watch the naval policy of the .Commonwealth, because, under guhe of creating an Australian navy, the party in power might be striving to get the nucleus of a navy which was not to act in conjuction with the British Fleet. Some of them did not say all they had in their minds eye of 'time when they would be able to turn the Australian Fleet against |the British Fleet in Australian water, sentiment wasjthere and spirit, actively formed in some quarters, to which orange institutions were actively opposed.
