Napier Harbour Loan.
PROPOSAL REJECTED,
Napier, February 10. At a poll taken in Hawkes Bay yesterday, on the Napier Harbour Board proposal to borrow £200,000 for the completion of the breakwater, the polling was very close,
but later returns turned the scale
against the proposal, country votes * Mowing very solid opposition at present. There are several small returns still to come in which can* not effect the result. The proposal was lost by about 150 votes.
