BRITISH FIRMS GET THE CONTRACTS.
Madrid, February 4.
The Spanish engineering and banking firms have formed a company with a capital to the amount of £8,000,000, of which 00 per cent, is to he reserved for Spanish investors, to build the warships “ Ferrol ” and Cartagena.” Gover ll,lien t contracts connected with the work go to the Biitish firms of Vickers and Son, Maxim, John Brown, Armstrongs and Thornycrofts.
