QUARTERLY MEETING.

The Upper Thames Circuit quarterly meeting was held at “Annandale” on the 13th inst., there being present the Revs. Dukes, Wrigley, Reid ; Messrs Bridgman, Burley and < twenty-one officials. ,

Rev. Dukes iii very choice language welcomed Mr W. S. Allen back to our midst, and his words voiced the feelings of all. Very satisfactory reports were received from the Sunday Schools and Christian Endeavour Societies. Rev. Wrigley extended a very hearty welcome to Mr W. A. Burley, a student, who has just arrived in our midst to do Home Mission work at Mamaku. Messrs A Tetley, J. C. Allen, and R. Trembath were elected lay representatives to Conference ; and Messrs H. A. Malley, F. Hubbard and N. Carless as substitutes. The Circuit contributed well to Home and Foreign Missions ; Waihi received special mention for their Missionary zeal. The members were royally entertained by Mr and Mrs W. S. Allen. I
