[To the Editor.]
The following may not be known to many electors Mr Herries has the honest praise of his political enemies and friends. The Eight Hon. Mr Seddou told him ihe would make him a Minister if he could change hia views. Mr Kidd (Government Whip), in addressing his constituents in Auckland, said Mr Herries was the best man in the House. Hon. Mr Carroll, at Gisborne on the sth, spoke strongly in favour of Mr Herries as having given him much assistance by voice and action. This is no doubt very flattering and Ishould secure him support from both sides which he deserves. We know the old war horse but not the younger. —I am, etc., Ta.uka.nga Elkctob.
