The Junior .Shakespeare Society gaye their open evening on Monday last in the Band room which was tastefully decorated for the occasion., lhe evening began with the reading of the favourite play Borneo and Juliet. The story of the youthful lovers and their tragic fate was listened to by a small but appreciative audience. Supper was then served and as the guests seemed reluctant tp depart a set of lancers was proposed. At an early hour the merry-making ceased. Three cheers were called for Shakespeare, for the President and for the musician of the evening. After singing (Jod Save the King and “ Auld Lang Syne the company dispersed, having thoroughly enjoyed both parts of the programme.
