He won many prizes, including cham pions won at Auckland and Waikato Shows. His breeding is undeniable, being got by Benmore, No. 302, clam—Christina F. McCormick No. 663. Ben More 302 was a well-known champion in his time he won nearly fifty first and champion prizes in Australia and New Zealand, and was the sire of many first-class horses. Christina F. McCormick was one of the very best mares in every sense of the word that ever graced Waikato, and she won many championships at Oamaru, Auckland, and Waikatc.
