Mtirphy’s find at Te Aroha looks iwell, and indications are favourable. Three shifts are being worked, and driving is in progress. The country at present is of a very hard nature. The Mine Manager reports for the weekending 24th October, as follow : “ Work is being pushed on in the No. 3 Level ( South ). The reef still maintains its size and appearance and good payable ore is coming to hand at eack breaking down.”
Should a satisfactory process be discov* ered to deal witd the complex ores found in unlimited quantities in the Tui Mines district, a fortune is in store for someone.
