Irish Cattle Drivers
London, October 29. A desperate affray occurred yesterday between a band of cattle drivers, who were removing stock from a farm at Riverston, Galway, and the police, who were sent to protect the owner of the property. During the affray the cattle drivers fired on the police, wounding several. The police then drew their revolvers and fired in turn, killing one of the cattle drivers and wounding others.
