The Farmers’ Co-Operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., Report:—We held our annual bull sale at Ohaupo last Tuesday and have to report a most successful sale. There was a large attendance and keen competition throughout; 120 bulls penned came forward in realy good condition ; 2-ye»r-old grade shorthorns, Bgus. to 12gns. ; yearlings from Wm. Yosper, 9gns to 1 1-lgns. ; Potts Bros., B|gns. to 1 Signs ; Shorthorn yearlings from W. G. Park, Bgns. to ojgns. ; Wm. Taj lor, lSgns; five-year-old pedigree bull, 2lgns.; on recount of Government farm, yearling Shorthorn bull, 23fgns : two-year bull 13gns.; fiw -year old bull, 17gns ; Holstein Bulls, 3 year olds, 5-}gns. to 91gns.; Ayrshire bull, of-gns. ; Holstein yearlings, 2gus. to 3gns. ; aged bulls, 2J gns. to f’-J gns. We held our usual steck sale the same day and penned 600 head of cattle '[here was a keen dein oid for .all classes, forward 4-year steers, £7 15s ; 2 and 2£ year steers, £3 17s to £4 £4 11s 15 and 18-months steers, £2 5s to £3 9s ; choice yearling steers, £3 ; Snme class heifers, £2 2s Od; other ye ilings 36s to £2 10s; forward empty heifers, £3 7s £3 9s ; springing cow, £6 ; heifers £4 5s to £6.
At Ngaruaw hii list Wednecday we yarded 900 head of cattle and 1053 sheep There was a large attendance and a keen demand for all ela ses, bidding being very brisk from start to finish, every pen being sold at auction. 500 head of wellbred steers from 2£ to 4-year-olds, were a splondid lot, and sold readily; forward condition 4-year bullocks, £7 5s to £8 10s; less condition cattle, £6 to £6 I9s; 223 bullocks from Tkos. Wilson averaging £7 2s ; 3 and 3A year steers, £5 6s to £5 16s; 2 and 2A-year steers, £4 4s to £4 18s ; 18-months steers, £3 6s to£3 14s ; 12 and 15-monthssteers, £2 2s to £2 15s ; calves, 24s to 335; fat cows, £5 9s to £6 7s ; fresh empty cows, £3 10sto£44s ; store cows, £2 16s to £3; empty 5-year heifers, £2 10s ; epringingcows, £4 17s 6d to £6 ; heifers, £3 2s 6d to £4 2s Gd ; bulls, £3 lo £7 ; forward woolly wethers, 158 lid ; close wool wethers, 15s 3d to 15s 8d; ewes in wool, 12s ; fat ewes, 14s ; ewes with lambs, 18s.
At Waihou last Friday we yarded 1250 head of cattle and 500 sheep. There was a large atl< ndauce and a good demand for all classes; 109 beef Denned sold readily; fat steers, £7 12s 6d to £8 12s; weighty cows and heifers, £6 10s to £7 ; lighter sorts, £5 to £5 7s 6d 2£ and 3year steer, £4 6s to £5 9s ; 18 months and 2-year steers, £3 3s to £4 ; 12 and 15 months steers, £2 3s to £2 14s; mixed yearlings, 25s lo £2 2s 6d; calves, 17s to £1 ; fresh cows, £2 15s to £3 10s ; empty 2-year heifers, £2 10s to £3 ; yearling heifers,3ss; yearling Shorthorn bulls, lOgns to 121gn«.; Holsteins, sjgns to 6gn». A large number of dairy cows yarded elicited brisk bidding, cows, £6 os to £7 15s ; for the backward cows, JE4 to £4 ss; heifers, £6 to £6 los ; others, £3 10s to £5 ; forward wethers, 16s to 17s 9d ; fat ewes shorn, lls to 13s; hoggets, 10 ; pigs and slips, 18s to 27s 6d.
