Experiments in Paper Making
London, October 18. The Washington correspondent of the Times reports experiments mad# by the Agricultural Department, show the use of maize and straw for the purpose of making paper pulp is satisfactory. Experiments show that whilfe it is improbable that maize straw is just as good as wood pulp, its use may check any further rise in the price of paper.
