RISING SUN GOLD MINING CO

The Mine Manager reports for the week ending 26th September, as fellows :—We s’arted work on 16th September with 2 men and have been employed unwatering the winze since that date. The engine has been working well and we have been raising 900 gallons per hour, but owing to the to the large quantity of back water we were unable to get into the bottom untill yesterday. We are now endeavouring to clean out the smup a large quantity of dirt and sediment having accumulated during the stoppage.
