A NOVEL axu GOOD IDE \. Tji g well-known American artist, Mr Churchill, has decided to spend several months in painting a number of the beauty spots on New Zealand, s great scenic river. To this end jMv Cliui chill will build a. houseboat at Taumarunui, fitted, up with living rooms and studio, in which he will drift down the 1.5 b. miles, l'aumarunui to Wanganui, painting on route the choicest scenes, He anticL jiatos spending three or four months in this work. The owners of the Wanganui fleet have undertaken to facilitate the work in every possible way. My Churchill will be accompanied by his wife. He has painted on several of the American Rivers under the same novel, but effective and convenient conditions. His pictures will be exhibited and probably sold on completion of journey.
