Bon McDliu, who is a nice dark bay in colour, witli particularly good markings g ave Croat promise of following the show ring feats of his ancestors, but owirg to an accident met with in hisyou'h he has never been shown. He shows immense power combined with good quality and soundiiPPß from any herrdiiarv in cctions, and his breeding should insure his success as a sire, ns every siiain on either side of his lineage is of the best, and to enumerate the prizes won by them would fill a volume. His pedigrob could be extended to an indefinate length, as General Fleming, 305 •, Crown Prince, 430 ; Young Banker, t; Lord Salisbury (imp.), 114; and many more names of well-known eh- m pious appear in tracing his breedin?; so it wi’l be passing strange if Ben McDliu does not prove a profitable acquisition to draught horse breedeis who may use him.
