NOTICE is hereby given that the Piako County Council at its Special Meeting held on the 17th day of August, 1908, adopted the following resolutions as and for Special Criers Ttr-be confirmed at a Special Meeting of the said Council, to be held at the County Office, Te Aroha, on the 2xst day of September, 1908, at the hour of 2 p.m., such Special Order to take effect as from the date ox I gazetting thereof, viz.:— SPECIAL ORDER No. I. The Piako County Council in terms of sub-section 3 of Section 14, of “ The Local Bodies Loans Act 1901,” and as authorised by subsection 3 of Section 118 of “ The Public Works Act, 1905,” doth hereby raise and borrow from the Colonial Treasurer under Part II of

“The Local Bodies Loans Act, a Special Loan of £3,000 for the purpose of providing the Council’s share of the cost of constructirg the Bridge over the Waihou river at Te Aroha, at the foot of Kenrick- street, Te Aroha, and the approaches thereto, as set farth in the Governor's Warrant gazetted on page 916 of the New Zealand Gazette, 1908; the proposed security for which loan shall be a special annual recurring rate for thirty-two years of one thirty-seventh of a penny in the pound upon the capital value of the ateable property in the Piako County, such providing interest at che rate of four per centum per annum, which being paid for the period aforesaid pays off the loan and is the provision for repayment thereof, and the cost of raising such loan shall be paid thereout but not the interest for the first year. SPECIAL ORDER, No. 2.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by •‘The Local Bodies Loans -Act, igoi,” and by Section nßof“The Public Works Act, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows :—That for the purpose of oroviding the interest and other :harges on a loan of £3 000, authorised to be raised by the said Council, under the above mentioned Acts from the Colonial Treasurer for a period of thirty-two years at four per centum per annum for the purpose of providing the said Council’s ■hare of the cost of constructing that Bridge over the Waihou River at Te Aroha at the foot of Kenrick-street, l'e Aroha, and the approaches thereto as set forth in the Governor’s Warrent, gazetted on page 916 ot the New Zealand Gazette, 1908, the said ] Piako County Council hereby makes tnd levies a Special Rate of one thirty seventh of a penny in the pound upon the capital value of the rateabie property in the Piako County, and such Special Rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the first days of April and October, in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirtytwo years, on until the loan is fully paid off.
