Horse Dentistry.
The above subject has been before the general public a good deal of late years, and has made very rapid strides. Our reporter .in the course of his peregrinations called in to see Mr Noble Peters, at his well-known shoeing forge, opposite Hogan’s stables, and found him busily engaged attending to the teeth of a valuable draught horse, which had suffered more or less from bad teeth tor some years past, consequently the horse had, despite the best of feed provided, looked in poor condition. On examination the teeth were found broken and worn down in places, leaving sharp points pro- , truding, thus preventirg the proper mastication of the food. Mr Peters is in possession of the very latest instruments for teeth doctoring, and during the past six months has attended to many horses brought in from Te Aroha and the surrounding districts and the very marked improvement noticed by the owners of animals treated, shows conclusively the great benefits derived. Farmers, carriers, and others are very fcrtunate in being able to get their horses attended to right at their very door, so to speak, without loss of time and at a minimum cost. .
