London, July 26. In the County cricket championships, Kent beat Surry by 206 runs, and Middlesex beat Lancashire. L. O. S. Poidevin, vice-captain of County Palatine, and formerly of Sydney, made 60 and 46 (not out). F. A. Tarront, ex-Victorian, scored 113 (not out), bringing his tallies for the season up to 1000 runs and 100 wickets. Tarrant is the first cricketer to perform this feat this year.
