Conspiracy Against the Sultan.

Constantinople, July 23. Izzet Pasha, the Sultan’s favourite, and. several officers, have been arrested on a charge of being implicated in a conspiracy aiming at the abdication of the Sultan. The conspirators-pro* posed that the said Pasha, formerly Grand Vizier, and now president of the Council of State, should be appointed with dictatorial powers to succeed Ferid Pasha, the present Grand Vizier.
