At the last meeting of Rodney County Council the question of obtaining a road machine was again brought forward by a letter from-Booth Me Donald and Co. Mr Thomson stated on his visit to Whangarei he had inspected a machine, and there was no doubt if headway was to be made,the Council would have to invest in a machine Mr Gilpin thought the difficulty would be to secure a team to work it.. The matter then dropped but it is evident that the > proposal is receiving serious consideration At the meeting of the Whangarei County Council on the 13th inst., applications were made and Sanctioned for two more road machines. One for Manaia riding, which the Parua Bay Road Beard desire to use also; one for the Maunn riding to be also used by the Manunu and Mangakahia Road Boards. ,
