Second Test Match.
A GREAT ENCOUNTER.
Wellington, Saturday,
The second test match, between the British football team and the New Zealand representative * team attracted an attendance of some 10,000 spectators to the Athletic Park, Wellington, to-day. weather was wet, and the ground in bad order, but in spite of these adverse conditions an excellent and hard fought game was played, which Britain were unfortunate m not winning. . . As a matter of fact the pick of New Zealand can pronounce themselves fortunate that they got off with a draw. The New Zealand forwards, good as they are, met their match in players., of Britain, who had a lost reputation to retrieve, and lost laurels to regain. They did both. The forward play _ was of the most willing and vigorous kind. The game resulted in a draw; each side securing a try.
