A good deal of interest was mani tested amongst local sliootista on Saturday afternoon last, when the Piako Mounted Rifles fired for the “Knock” Belt. The shooting resulted in Corp. Cooper - securing the much-coveted trophy. The following are the results: — Corp. Cooper 60 Trooper Driver ... ... ... 58 Trooper Hirst ... ... ... 58 Quartermaster Sergt. Devey ... 56 Bugler Sherer 49 There were twelve other competitors
The Piako Mounted Rifles are removing their Orderly Room into the office lately occupied by Mr F. Pavitt, senr.
