Conn the Shaughraun.
The above mentioned will be produced in the Public Hall, Te Aroha, on Saturday night next, the 20th, by Mr Phil Walsh and his Company. The company is composed of Miss Eva Marius-Paigne, Miss Blandford Egdaille, Miss Bessie Melford, Miss Hettie Maguire, Messrs Phil Walsh, James McKenna, Fred Bates, J. R. Williams, Roy Raymond, J. B. Purnell and Charles Abbott. Mr Walsh has been busy during his northern tour painting scenery and “Conn the Shaughraun” will be produced in his usual conscientious way. The play is by the great Irish play-wright Dion Boucicault, Who also wrote “ Shamus O’Brien,” “ Arrah-na-pogue,” > etc. Already great interest is manifested on all sides, and the generous donation of 10 percent, of the gross takings, by Mr iWalsh, to the Te Aroha Band Fund has been received with appreciation and should ensue a bumper house on the occasion* Popular prices are the order of the day. *
