Egg-Laying Competition

FOURTH WEFK’S RESULTS

The fourth week of the second competition promoted by the North Island Egglaying Competition Association, Ltd., at Cambridge, was concluded on Friday last. The following particulars are supplied by Mr A. B. Trythall, secretary and manager of the competition : The number of eggs laid during the week was 706, being an average of 10.69 eggs per pen.

The total number of eggs laid since 16th May is 1868, being an average of 28.30 eggs per pen. The weather during the week was favourable. Highest layings for the week : LIGHT BKEEDS A. E. Browne, Napier, white Leghorns 25. E. W. Armstrong, Ahuroa, white Leghorns, 24.
