Notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Te Aroha Riding, Piako County, will be taken on SATURDAY, the 6th day of June, 1908, upon the proposal by the Piako County Council to borrow from the Colonial Treasurer under Part 11, of the “ Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901,” a special Loan for the Construction, Reinstatement and Rebuilding of Bridges in the Te Aroha Riding of the said Piako County, viz. :

Culvert at Forsman’s, McLeod’s Bridge, Lawcock’s Bridge, Carroll’s Bridge,. Creamery Bridge, Brook’s Bridge, Maisey’s Bridge, Roache’s Bridge, Rushbrook’s Culvert’s McNicol’s Flat Bridge, McNicol’s No. 2 Bridge, McNicol’s No. 3 Bridge, Waiorongomai Creek Bridge, Waiorongomai Hill Bridge, Collin’s Culvert, and Murphy’s Bridge. The sum proposed to be borrowed is £ 1,500, and the proposed security for the loan is a special annual recurring rate for thirty two years of one-sixth of a penny in the £ upon the capital value of the rateable property in the said Te Aroha Riding of the Piako County. The Polling Booths will be two as follows :

Franklin’s Bridge, B«ker’s Eoad Bridge, Waghorn’s Road Bridge, Macfarlane’s Bridge. Diagonal Road Bridges (2), Lockver’s Bridge, McCabe’s Road Bridge, Kiwitahi Bridge and Kereone Bridge. The sum proposed to be borrowed is £5,000 and the proposed security for the loan is a special annual re curriug rate for 32 years of one-tenth of a penny per 'pound upon the capital value of the l’ate able property in the said Waitoa Riding of the Piako County.
