OUR BRIGADE STATION.
It is about time our City Fathers seriously considered the advisability of housing the Fire Brigade hose reel in a more suitable position than that at present in use. To ask rhen to rush down to the existing site and drag the reel anywhere in the upper reaches of the town—as was the case the other morning—is too much to expect. We would suggest that the reel be kept • somewhere in the vicinity of the public school—on the rising groung—and not in a gully. The Te Aroha Brigade, as constituted, is cne of the smartest in the Auckland Province, and they should be given every encouragement and assistance in their onerous duties. We trust the Borough Council will see to this matter.
