Gold Returns.
THE AUCKLAND DISTRICT. RETURNS FOR THE MONTH. Doatifo the past month the gold re* ; turns to hand from the Auckland district mines reached a total of > £UU29 tSs fid. This is an increase compared with the output tor the corresponding period of last year, which totalled £108,874 18s ?d. It is also considered in excess of the returns for the two previous monthly yields of the present vear (February, £90,107, and March £95,271). This increase is partly accounted for by the fact - that in the returns now recorded two clean ups are included from both the Waihi Grand Junction and Kom&ta Reefs mines. The month’s total is contributed to as follows; —Ohinemori, £108,756 6a * Cd ; Thames, 2,557 15s 3d ; Coromandel, £415 12s; total, £111,729- * 13s 9d.
