Once again we take the liberty of coming personally before our readers, to reiterate our announcement of April the second. To the spirit of that announcement we shall faithfully adhere. Our motto is, fair play to all, and offence to none, in all matters social, political, and industrial. Our bright, readable morning paper, wherein matters of local interest will be judiciously ventilated, is offered as an efficient advertising medium to all enterprising business men. Re-otganiaation : This part of our uhdertaking has demanded a great outlay of patience and energy. We are now, however, able to say that we, having laid our foundation in concrete, have . set our house in order, preparatory to our future operations.

The building up of our paper into one of the most readable and efficient news and advertising mediums in thq Dominion, will be our special object. We have already devoted a considerable amount of capital in this direction and intends to proceed with the improvement of our plant at an early \ We have further engaged;, the services of a journalist of English and Dominion experience, to glean and set before our readers the main facts connected with the history, development and future prospects of this part of the Dominion, the first of which will appear on Saturday next. With old friends we have renewed our acquaintance, and at the same time have availed * ourselves of the privilege of making new friends. Our employees* interests we make our own. Recognising their efficiency and their devotion to the welfare of our paper, we are paying them wages % excess of the Arbitration Award. Our principle will be advance according to merit withont solicitation. Their environment has been cared for and their personal comfort secured, Financially our principle is to pay for everything as we get it, “ to owe no man anything,” a principle which we hold to be the true basis of all commercial prosperity. This we have put into practice from the time of taking over the paper, and we have no doubt it has given’ entire satisfaction to those com* mprcially connected with us. We therefore respectfully commend our re-organised paper to the general, public and request that they will lend us their valuable support in making “ The Te Aroha and Ohinemuri News ” an efficient, progressive, and readable paper.
