TELEGRAM FROM THE PREMIER The following telegram has been received by the Mayor (Mr A. M. Myers) from the Prime Minister at Roxborough in reply to one sent by His .Worship regarding the action of the Governmental respect to the vientef the American fleet: “In reply to your telegram the Government”' programme for entertaining the fleet.wfll be considered when the Ministers meet in Wellington next week, and I will advise you of the decision when I am in a position to do so. The hearty co-operation of the citizens of Auckland will be appreciated by the Government > For your information as to the number of vessels, this has been asked for, and I am informed that 1 5 are coming, though it is not definite. I shall let yon have any information I can later.— J. G. Ward.’*
