MORRINSVILLE.
(Our Own Coirespondent.) The local entertainment Society’s session came to a conclusion on Thurs - day evening, a ball being held as a wind-up. Despite the wretched state of the weather and the sloppy condition of the roads there was a good attendance, and a most enjoyable time was spent. The refreshments, which were under the control of the ladies were all that could be desired; excellen t music was supplied by Mr J. Watts (piano) and Mr J. C. R. Watts (cornet); Messrs Brayshaw and Basket were well placed as M.C’s. Th® committee are to be congratulated on the successful manner in which the entertainments have been carried out, especially Mrs Seville, who performed the duties of secretary throughout. A number of local residents on Satur day had the pleasant time of waiting until 5 a.m. on Sunday morning for the train to returu from Te Aroha, the engine having been derailed at Paeroa.
