WELLINGTON, This Day. In the Council, which met at 2.30 p.m,, the Hod. Mr Wi Pere was granted a week’s leave of absence on account of ill-health. The Farriers Bill, from the Lower House, was read a second time. The Council rose at 3.20.
HOUSE ,OF REPEESENTATIVES
In the House the St. Andrew’s Church Wellington Trustees Empowering Bill, was read ,t third time and passed.
The following’ Bills were read a first time, and referred to the Locil Bills Committee :Waipawa County, Thames Harbour Board ( Opunake Harbor, Gore Agricultural and Pastoral Association Vesting and Enabling, Auck land Harbor Board and Birkenhead Borough Empowering. A week’s leave of absence was granted to Mr Ell owing to sickness in his family. 1 The House adjourned at 5.30. The House resumed at 7.30. The Trustees Act. Amendment B'll was read a third time and passed. The second reading of the Town .District Bill was postponed for ione week. The Land Agents Agricultural Labourers’ Accommodation Bill was read a.second time, _ The House went into commi tee on the Obnoxious Weed Ac- Amendment Bill. midnight progress was reported, and the Premier moved the adjourn ment.
