Waitoa.

[Our Own Correspondent j A meeting called for the purpose of forming a branch of the Political Reform League was held in the schoolroom on Friday evening last. There was a good attendance including a number of the Te Aroha branch. Mr J. Walker was voted to the chair. l r was unanimously decided to form a branch of the League at Waitoa, and the following gentlemen were elected : President, Mr Jaß. Walker; vicepresidents, Messrs J. Carswell and McKay, secretary and treasurer, Mr S. Driver. A strong committee was also formed. The League promises to be a success as already forty settlers have signified their willingness to join. It was decided to hold meetings in the last week of each month. The le Aroha members were entertained to light refreshments after the meeting.
