Da,yAbout three months ago the Railway Department, in order to expedite the quarrying work in connection with the Auckland-Penrose Duplication, erected a steam rock drill, which was doing excellent work. The men who formei ly did the hand drilling were put on navvying, and some days must elapse before they can be replaced.
