(By Telegraph,— Press Association.) LEGISLATIVE COUNOIL. WELLINGTON, This Day. In the Council, the Hon. Loughnan resumed the debate on the Address *in Reply, and was continued by Hon. Barr, who was still speaking when the Conncil rose at 5 p.m, HOUSE OF BE PRESENT ATIVES In the House the Water Supply Amendment, Wairau Harbor Board, Gore Streets Local Bodies Loan Act, 1901, Amendment Bills were read the first time. The Premier moved his motion to change the name of the Colony to Dommion. The motion was agreed to by 50 votes to 15. The House adjourned at 5.35 p.m la the House the South African Customs Ratification Bill passed all eta res. The Rotorua Town Bill was read a sec md time. The Pure Food Bill "was taken in committee, and Clauses 1 to 6 passed! Pr ’gross was reported and the House rose at 12.10.
