WAIHI COMPENSATION CASE.
- The Compensation Court, consisting of [Messrs R. S. ! Bush ,S.M. (president), E-^W,_A l lison and A- Bruce (assessors), has given its award in! the claim by the Waihi Printing and Publishing Company against the Waihi Borough Council. The Court decided "that the higher level roa'd in Main street was constructed in tsome permanent manner, and awarded. £450 for damage to land and buildings, ••• which is .the full amount claimed un- : der this' item. The balance of claim (£250, to plant and lsss of business) was not -allowed, the Court beino- of minion that plaintiffs could not recover. under the Act. It is /Optional with them, however, to raise this point of claim in the Supreme Court. A ; , i Costs were ordered against the Borough Council.
