Messrs Alfred Buckland and Sons report.— Horses : At the Haymarket on Friday last we had a full yard. A better demand existed for young waggon and express sorts, which sold from £32 to £45; aged and worn draughts, £lO to £3O, buggy horses and good hacks, £ls 10s to £23; light harness and ordinary hacks, £6 to £lB ; ponies at all prices ; buggy, cob and harness, £2B 10s. The horses, etc., under bill of sale sold as follows : —Lorry, £3l; carts, £4 10s to £l3 : horses, £l3 to £29 10s; harness, £2 10s to £8 10s.

A fair yarding of stock at Pokeno on Monday sold at resent values. Springers, £3 10s to £5 10s ; empty cows, £1 10s to £2 12s 6d; fat cows and heifers, £3 17s 6d to £5 2s 6d ; strong calves, 19a to £1 4s ; smaller, 9s to 15s.

The bad state of the weather on Wednesday accounted for a small muster of cattle a Runoiman yards. Dairy cows and heifers made from £5 to £6 17s 6d ; others, £2 10b to £3 15s ; forward three to three and a-half year steers, £4 16s to £5 10s ; yearlings to 18-months, £1 10s to £2 3s ; empty cows. £1 18s to £3 10s, according to condition; calves, 18s to £1 7s. At Remuera on Thursday dairy cows, penned in usual numbers, sold freely from £5 to £8 10s t , according to quality. Few store cattle yarded; those sold at recmt values. Fat and young calves, in short supply, were required, selling from 3s to 36a ; 79 sold. There was a full yarding of fat cattle. Prices were steady throughout, ox beef selling., to 22s per 1001 b, cow to 20s. Steers Tanged in price from £5 10s to £lO 17s Sd ; cows, £3 10s to £7 12s 6d ; 449 sold. Fat sheepwero well represented, 1,780 being penned. Prices wore no better, extra heavy wethers selling from 23s to 25s 6d, lighter weights, 18s to 2ls, heavy ewes to £1 Is 3d, others, 14s to 18s, hoggets 9s to 17s. Pigs : Small 5s to 8s; porkers, ito 85« ; baconers, to £2 19s; 86 sold. Poultry, Is 5d to 2s 6d; dogs, Is each.
