Alleged Illegal Operations.
A DOCTOR BEFORE THE COURT. At the Auokland Police Court on Thursday, before Messrs Mtlvern, W. H. Martin and J. B. Macfarlane, J.P.’s, Dr. JamesDalziel, wh«> has for a number of years practised his profession in the Pukekohe district, was charged that on or about June 11th, at Auckland, he performed an illegal operation. Chief-Detective Marsack, who prosecuted, applied for a remand for eight days, stating that the woman concerned in the case was in the hospital and was unable to appear at Court. Mr Brookfield appeased for the accused, and secured bail, acQu-sedin *2OO, and two sureties of £IOO each. The doctor was also ordered to report himself daily to the police.
