Dairy cows sold at from £3 15s to £8 ss; dairy heifers, £3 10s to £6 10s ; emp‘y cows, £l 17s to £2 19s ; grown steers. £4 15s to £6 6s ; two to three-year-old do , £2 10s to £4 2s 9d ; yearlings and calves, 15s to £1 18s. The GO advertised steers from Wairamarama averaged £5 12s 6d. Beef, of which 79 head were yarded, sold at fully Newmarket rates. Cattle : At the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday there was a full yarding of stock of all descriptions. Dairy cows sold at from £3 10< t> £7 15s ; do . heifers, £4 5s to £5 5s ; empty cows, £1 18s to £2 10s; calves, 15s to £1 Bs. The ad> vertised store ewes sold at from 10s 6d to 14s 9d ; hoggets, 9s 6d to 13s 6d. A line of merino store ewes sold at frem 7s to 10s 9d , Pigs ■ Porkers sold at from 18s 9d to £1 11s; baconers, £1 17s Gd to £2 11s ; weaners, 5s 6d to 10s.
