Testing of Dairy Herds.
The proposal for the teHin# of dairy herds to enable dairy to ascteifefintbe ing value of which had the endorsement of the National Dairy Association, meeting in Dunedin last week, is spoken of by Mr E. Clifton, of Stock for the colony, who in Denmark the dairy farmers into groups and establish A sample of the milk of each co\^^tested by an expert every now and then, and with the inforn\a.tion gained in' that way, tha farmer is able to pull the unprofitable animals. The scheme iyorlps splendidly in Denmark, and the Agricultural Department do not see why equally satisfactory results should not be secured in , Now Zealand.
