King’s Counsel.
TEN APPOINTMENTS

WELLINGTON, This Day,
Under regulations gazetted 24th of January last, provision was made for the appointment of King’s counsel, and applications were received from various parts of the colony. The Attorney-general forwarded the names of applicants to the chief justice. Since the regulations provide that appointments could only be made by the Governor-in-Council, with the approval of the Chief of the Judiciary, his honor having approved of and nominated for appointment the following gentlemen. ' They will receive their letters of patent appointment signed by His Excellency the Governor on taking the usual oath of office. Wellington : H. D. Bell, Martin Chapman, C. P.
