Assessment Court.
At sitting of the Assessment Court was held at Te Aroha on Thursday, before Mr Bush, S.M:, and Messrs Pavitfc (Government) and Burke (County) Assessors. Mr W. Garretu represented th® Valuation Department . ' . A number of objectors did not put in an appearance and their cases were struck out, , The following cases were disposed of, , H. W. Johnson (represented by Mr Moon), capital valued of £1,495 objected to.—Valuation sustained J. Lennard objected to his unimproved value. Unimproved value reduced by £l5O and added to improvements. ■ ' O’Donoghue objected to unimproved value £1,016 and improvements £7BO. —To be unimproved value £866 and improvements £930. Captain Fitts : £4O reduction on unimproved value. . John Ryan : objected to capital value of £369—Reduced to £360. George Eyse’s objections of 3,888 acres at £1 and 506 at £3 were disallowed and valuations sustained. Sheat’s objection was reduced by £26, Rushbrook and Cowley, being tenants, were not eligible to object. Alex. Robertson* was non-suited on a point of law. Fisher and Cutfield agreed toarrange with the Valuer.
