SCHOOL COMMITTEE ELECTION.

The anmual meeting, .of householders of the Kirikiri School District was held ini the Schoolroom. There was a good attendance, there being 65 present. 'Mr T. A. Cooper was voted : to ithie chair. The annual report was : road by the secretary (Mr J. McConnell) ' arid! adopted. The election of a ; new committee resulted as follows: P. O’Hara 50, H. Williams 44 Geo. Newland 42, Pirmona Watene 42, H. Kinghan 39, W. Hall 39, T. Tukuman 38, W. Renshaw 29, J. McCormack 24, T. McLaughlin, 17, J. Martin 4. The first, seven were declared duly elected. At a subsequnt -meeting of the committee Mr G. Newland was elected chairman and Mr H. Williams secretary.
