Writ against Exhibition Manager.

BILLIARD EXHIBIT ALLEGED TO BE DETAINED.

WELLINGTON, This Day.

The New Zealand branch of Messrs Alcock and Co., billiard-table manufacturers, of Australia, have caused a writ to be issued against the general manager of the International Exhibition, claiming £1,069 damages for the alleged wrongful detention of the Company’s billiard exhibit. The general manager of the Exhibition denies that he is detaining Alcock’s exhibits, but admits detaining the fittings and furnishing of the billiar J-room pending payment of the space money.
