Te Aroha Football Club.
A meeting of the Te Aroha Football Club was held in Mr Filling’s sample room last night, there being an attendance of about forty. Mr R. Gr. Lewis was voted to the chair, after which the election of officers was proceeded with as follows :
Patron: W. E. Herries, Esq., M.FLR. President: R. L. Somers, Esq. Vice-presidents : Messrs Gavin, Fitzgerald, Sponce, Hogan, . O’Neill, Cullen, Baine, Pavitt, Piliing, J.
Shaw, Tulloek, C-wie, Mclndoe, Rowe, A. W. Edwards, Manson, Hardwicke, Thompson, Dcvey, Stanley, G. L’-vegrove, Jefferson, Dr Ivenny and
Dr BiycPm. Secretary : Mr H. Whi r ehead. Treasurer : Mr Leo, Shaw.
Senior Selector : Mr Leo. Shaw, Thejurior selector will be elected after the first senior match. Delegates to the Union : Messrs Lewis, Benny and L. Shaw.
Entrance Fee : Three shillings. Club Colours ; Blue and white. The boundary was suggested as starting from Lipsey’s Bridge, then acro-s the railway bridge, to Leonard’s R >ad, over Waiorongotnai Bridge, to To Aroha again. This will be submitted by the delegates at the meeting of the Union at Morrinsvillo to-night.
The next meeting was fixed for, Friday evening next at Mr Filling’s sample room. The Secretary was instructed to collect the sub criptions as soon as possible. Mr Pilling presented the Club with a football, for which he was accorded a hearty vote of thanks, a similar compliment beiDg passed for the use of the room.A vote of thanks to the chair terminated the proceedings.
