Prices for those near their profit were from £5 10s to £9 ; others, £2 10s to £3 15s ; store cattle at late quotations. Fat and jmung calves brought from 2s to 435; 76 sold. There was scarcely an average number of fat cattle yarded and mostly light weights. No improvement in prices can be quoted. Ox beef sold to 21s per 1001 b, cow to 18s. Steers ranged ia price from £5 to £lO ; cows, £3 10s to £6 15s; 287 sold. Sheep ca ne forward in average numbers and sold freely throughout, heavy wethers sel’ing to 2js, lighter weights, 17s to 21s, heavy ewes to 19s, others 14s to 17s 6d, best lambs to 16s 3d, others, 10s 6d to 13s: small pigs to 14s, porkers to 355, baconers to £2 15s ; 101 sold
