D. C. Mclntyre.
WARRANT WITHDRAWN
(By Telegraph—Press Association.)
CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.
It is likely that the warrant issued against D. 0. Mclntyre, ex superintendent of awards at the International Exhibition will be withdrawn. The complainant in the matter informed a reporter that he has decided not to go on with the case. He had been led to this decision by lack of encouragement received from men who have had transactions with the missing man. They promised that they would assist him financially and in other directions, but now, he eayp, they decline to do anything, and he has withdrawn from tho proceedn gs. If there is .‘trong evidence against Mclntyre of course the police will take the matter in hand on their own account. Up to the present time, however, the police enquiries have not been concluded. A detective is making investigations into the matter and his report has not been received yet by the authorities. If the evidence is not sufficiently strong the police wdl also decline to take further actiom From the aspect of the case at pres nt it is likely that that, this course will be followed.
